When I first became a mom, I was new in town with all our family very far away and had a husband who was working and going to school full-time. I was tremendously lonely. I found a couple of forums of other moms that I had some things in common with and I loved having that part of my day where I felt I was interacting with friends. But I do not agree with the quote above.

Oops, ps, I thought of you today as I watched a bit of coverage of the Pope. Have you watched any of it?

You were lonely not for being a stay at home mother but for having all family - not children - far from you.
About the Pope: as always, he's doing a good job and Africa deserves having him there because they have a hard life and still remain in the path - well the ones that remain in the path.
